Precision Farming

Our farm utilizes Ag Leader GPS products that help us steer our tractors, apply chemicals and fertilizer accurately. 

GPS Autosteer

• Using RTK (Real Time Kinematic) GPS we are able to get sub inch accuracy which minimizes overlap, increases fuel savings and lowers operator fatigue.

Product Control and variable rate

• For all of our application of chemicals and fertilizer we utilize our GPS technologies to place the chemicals and fertilizer precisely where we need it as well as keeping it away from places that we do not need it.
• The soil in all of our production land is tested for nutrients regularly in sections of a field.  This practice allows us to have the fertilizer applied in an as needed basis through a field rather then spreading the same amount over the whole field.  This saves in fertilizer costs and keeps the nutrient levels from getting to high in one section of the field while being low in another.
• When we harvest we record all of the yield data that combined with GPS gives us a map of the field so we can pick out any issues that then can be fixed for future production.
